Vastrapur is always busy, especially around Jodhpur Cross Roads where we are. Our spot is in Satyam Mall, which is right by Kameshwar School. You can hear the kids when they get out for the day. It’s pretty loud sometimes. We’ve been at No. 410 for a while now. Most mornings start with unlocking the shutters and seeing who’s already out and about in the complex. It’s not a huge place, but it works for what we do here at Shiraav Creations. We usually have fabric samples sitting around and the desks are always a bit of a mess with sketches or bits of thread. People walk past the window on their way to other shops in the mall. It gets dusty because of the road work that always seems to be happening nearby. We just keep the fan going and stay busy. The tea stall downstairs is where we go when we need a break. It's a regular local spot. Nothing fancy, just a room with our equipment and some chairs for people to sit when they come by to talk about a project. Sometimes the elevator in the mall acts up, so we take the stairs. It’s just how things go around here. We like being near the school because it feels like there's always life around. We just focus on getting the work done and keeping the place running day to day.
