Heer Electronics

Heer Electronics is located at 291/A. It’s just a small spot, really. If you aren't looking closely, you might walk right past it. Inside, it’s mostly shelves filled with all sorts of components and half-finished projects. We have been sitting at this same workbench for a long time now. There is usually a soldering iron heating up somewhere and a multimeter sitting out. The lighting could be better, but we know where everything is. We handle a lot of different gadgets and circuit boards that people bring in. Some of them are so old you can't even find parts for them anymore, but we still take a look. It’s a quiet kind of work, mostly just focusing on tiny wires and chips. The space is cramped, especially when we get a big shipment of parts in. There’s a desk in the corner where the paperwork piles up, but most of the action happens on the main counter. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know our way around a motherboard. Sometimes the street outside gets noisy, but inside we’re usually concentrated on a repair. It’s not a shiny showroom. It's a place where things get taken apart and hopefully put back together. We’ve been here long enough that the neighbors know us by name and drop by for a chat now and then. It’s just a simple life here among the wires.
