Par Export & Import

Our place is at 14, Ganesh Chandra Avenue. If you know Kolkata, you know this area is full of old offices and lots of commercial activity. The building we are in has that classic look with thick walls and narrow stairs. It’s a busy street outside, with trams and buses constantly moving by. We occupy a small space where we handle all our export and import details. It’s mostly just paperwork and keeping in touch with people, so we don’t need much. The walls are a bit peeling in places, but it gives the room some character. We’ve been here a while and we know the neighborhood like the back of our hand. There is a great kachori seller just around the corner where we get breakfast most mornings. The humidity in the summer can be quite a lot, so we have the fans running at full speed all day. It’s a quiet enough office once you close the main door, even with the city noise right outside. We aren't a big corporation with fancy titles; we are just a few people trying to make a living and keeping things running smoothly. Every day is pretty much the same, checking lists and making sure the shipments are where they should be. It’s honest work in a part of the city we really like. We don't plan on moving anywhere else for a long time yet.
