We are located right under Hotel Uma Sakkti, at Shop-1, near the vegetable market in Biu. Being near the market means it’s incredibly noisy and busy from very early in the morning. You can hear the vendors shouting and the smell of fresh produce is everywhere. We share a space that’s connected to Ambika Selections. It’s a tight squeeze with all the stock we have to keep. We sell various items, and people often stop by while they’re out doing their grocery shopping. It’s a very local vibe here. We know most of the other shopkeepers around the hotel. The shop itself is simple, nothing fancy about the floors or the walls. We just have our shelves and a small counter where we sit. Dealing with the public in a market area means you meet all kinds of characters. Some are in a hurry, others want to stand and talk for twenty minutes about the weather or the price of onions. We don't mind either way. The power goes out sometimes, and we just light a candle or use a torch until it comes back on. That’s just life in Biu. We aren't trying to be the biggest company around. We’re just happy to be part of the daily rhythm of this market. It’s hard work, but it’s honest, and we’ve been doing it this way for a long time now.
