Kalam Designs

Kalam Designs is over at 3-b in Vivekanand Society. We’re in the Paldi area of Ahmedabad, specifically near the Jain Merchant Cross Roads. It’s a residential neighborhood, so it stays fairly quiet compared to the main market. We like the peace and quiet for our work. Our office is just a part of the building in the society. It’s not a big design studio with glass walls or anything. We have a couple of desks, some computers, and a lot of sketches pinned to the walls. We've been here in Paldi for quite some time. The neighbors know us and we know them. We don't have a big staff, just a few people who are good at what they do. We don't use much marketing; people usually find us through word of mouth. Our day starts with a simple routine and ends when the work is finished. Sometimes we work late if a project is due, but we try to keep regular hours. The society is a nice place to be, and the cross roads nearby make it easy to get around the city. If you come by, you’ll see it’s a very normal, practical setup. We don't put on any airs or pretend to be bigger than we are. It’s just us, doing our design work in a corner of Ahmedabad.
