Own

Own is located in Surat, specifically at 302 Babji Palace in the Tulsi Faliya area of Begampura. It’s an older building, and we are up on the third floor. You have to walk through the lane to find the entrance, which can be a bit tricky if it’s your first time visiting. The office isn't very large, but it’s where we get all our work done. We have a few desks pushed against the walls and a lot of files that need sorting. The windows look out over the neighborhood, so we see the daily life of Begampura while we work. It’s a bit noisy with the street sounds drifting up, but we’ve gotten used to it over the years. We mostly stick to our tasks and don't spend much time on decorations or anything like that. It’s a functional space for a small team. We have a small corner where we keep the kettle for tea. Most of the day is spent handling phone calls and managing the paperwork that comes across our desks. We aren't a big corporation with fancy lobbies. We are just a local business operating out of a room in Babji Palace, trying to stay organized and keep up with our daily responsibilities. It’s just a normal workplace with real people doing their jobs. Sometimes we get a bit behind on the filing, but we catch up eventually. The lift is a bit slow so we often walk up the stairs instead.
