Om Telelink Pvt Ltd is located in Vejalpur, Ahmedabad, specifically in the Shrinand Nagar 2 complex at flat Q 404. Since we are in a residential building, it feels more like a home office than a big corporate headquarters. We have been here for a while, and the neighbors are used to us coming and going with boxes of equipment. The space is a bit tight because we have to store a lot of telecommunication parts and cables. We spend a lot of time on the phone, as you might guess from the name, talking to people across the city. The office has a balcony that looks out over the rest of the colony, and it’s a good place to stand for a minute when the work gets a bit much. In Ahmedabad, the summers are really tough, so we have the AC running most of the time to keep the machines and ourselves from overheating. We don't have any big brochures or sales teams. Most of our work comes from people who have known us for years. We keep a simple ledger for the accounts and try to stay on top of the paperwork. It’s a quiet way to run a business, and we like the privacy of being on the fourth floor. There is no elevator sometimes when the power goes, so we get plenty of exercise on the stairs. It is a long climb but we are used to it by now.
