Newfamous Frozen Foods is located right opposite the Chandola petrol pump in Danilimda. If you know the area, it’s the place where the road dips down at the dhal. It’s a very busy spot with a lot of heavy traffic and exhaust fumes. Our unit, number 310, is basically one big cold storage area. You have to wear a jacket inside even when it’s 40 degrees outside because the freezers are always running. We handle all sorts of frozen goods, mostly moving them from big trucks into our smaller units and then out to shops. The floor is always a bit slippery from the condensation, so you have to watch your step. We’ve been in Danilimda for a while and the locals know us. It’s a noisy place with the petrol pump right there and the constant honking of horns. We don't have a lot of office space, just a small desk near the door where we keep the invoices. Most of our time is spent moving boxes in and out of the cold. The electric bill is our biggest headache every month. Sometimes the machinery breaks down at 2 AM and someone has to rush over to fix it before the food thaws. It’s a stressful business sometimes, but it’s what we do. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team, just a bunch of guys in jackets. Most of us have worked here for years.
