The office for Indo-dutch-joint Venture-consultancy is over at 31 Shrimali Society. It’s right opposite the police station in Navrangpura, which makes it easy to find if you're looking for us. The building is an older style and it’s a bit quieter than the main road. Inside, we have desks piled with papers and files from various projects we've worked on. We deal with a lot of paperwork and phone calls throughout the day. Navrangpura is a busy part of the city, so there’s always someone coming or going outside. We have some connections that go back a long way, which is how this whole joint venture thing started. It’s mostly just us sitting around the table discussing different plans and how to navigate certain regulations. We don't have a big staff, just a few people who know what they are doing. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed, and we usually have the windows open to let some air in during the afternoon. Sometimes it gets a bit loud when the police station across the street is busy, but we’re used to it by now. People come to us when they need help with things that involve more than just one country's way of doing things. We don't use a lot of big words or complicated explanations. We just sit down, look at the documents, and try to find a way forward. It’s practical work that requires a lot of patience and reading through fine print.
