Premier Polymers

Premier Polymers is located at Plot No. 608-B C in Phase-4 of the GIDC Estate. It’s a bit of a walk from the main gate, but it's quieter back here compared to the front. We deal with plastics mostly. You can smell the heated material when the machines are really going. The floor is covered in those tiny plastic pellets sometimes, they get everywhere like sand. We have to be careful not to slip. Most of the guys here wear heavy boots and just get on with the shifting and loading. It gets pretty humid inside during the monsoon. We have these big exhaust fans that rattle a bit, but they do the job of keeping the air moving. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. If someone shows up, they usually just holler at the first person they see through the open shutter. We try to keep the orders separated by color so we don't mix things up by mistake. It happened once a few years back and was a real headache to fix. Now we are more careful. The back area is where we store the raw bags. It’s a lot of lifting and stacking. We don’t really do any big advertising or anything like that. Most of our work comes from the same few people we’ve known forever. It’s just a steady way to spend the day. Sometimes the birds fly into the rafters.
