Navjivan Clinic

Navjivan Clinic is tucked away in Dariapur. It’s a busy neighborhood and we’ve been part of it for a good while now. The clinic itself is quite modest, just a front area for waiting and a back room where we do the checkups. We don’t have a big staff, so you’ll usually see the same two or three people every time you walk in. The street outside is always full of life, which makes the clinic feel like it’s right in the middle of everything. We spend a lot of time cleaning because the city air is a bit heavy, but it’s a comfortable enough spot once you’re inside. There’s no fancy computer system for everything; we still use a lot of paper files and handwritten notes. It feels more personal that way, even if it takes a minute longer to find someone’s history. Sometimes we run out of tea or the biscuits get stale, but we try to keep things friendly. People from all over Dariapur come in with their kids or their elderly parents. We’ve seen a lot of people grow up around here. It’s not a polished medical center like you see in the movies, just a regular place where people can go when they have a fever or a scraped knee. We stay open until the last person is seen, even if it’s getting dark. That's just how we do things in Dariapur.
