Ct Scan Technician

Our workspace is at number 1, Shyamnager Society. It’s near Uttamnager on the Nicolgam Road in Ahmedabad. We are located right in the Thakkarnager area. This is where the CT scan work happens. It’s a medical environment, so we try to keep things as quiet as we can. The machines are big and they take up a lot of room. My job as a technician is to make sure everything is running like it should. We see a lot of people every day. Some are nervous, so we just try to get them through the process quickly. We don't have a fancy waiting room with big TVs. It’s just some chairs and a water cooler. The floor is tiled and easy to clean. Working on Nicolgam Road means it’s easy for people from the local societies to reach us. We've been here for some time. The equipment needs a lot of maintenance, so we are always checking on that. It's a technical job but it’s mostly about helping people get their scans done so they can see their doctors. We don't use any complicated language. We just tell you where to stand or lie down. It’s a very practical place. We focus on the scans and making sure the images are clear. It’s hard work, especially when there is a long line of patients, but we just keep going. That is what being a Ct Scan Technician is about in this part of Ahmedabad.
