Our place is at 72B in the Vavta GIDC Phase 1 area. Being in an industrial estate like this means there is always a layer of dust and the constant sound of machinery from the neighboring units. We’ve been here for quite a while, working on control instruments. The building is a simple, functional structure with a small office area and a larger space for the actual assembly and testing. It gets quite hot in the summer, and the fans never seem to be enough, but that is just life in the GIDC. We don't have any polished marketing materials or a big sales team. Mostly, we just have engineers and technicians who know their way around a circuit board. Our days are spent checking measurements and making sure the controllers are calibrated right. It’s repetitive work sometimes, but it’s important for the factories that use our gear. We usually have tea at the same time every afternoon, delivered by a guy on a cycle who comes around the estate. There’s no corporate ladder here, just a group of people who have been working together for a long time. We know the other business owners on our street and we occasionally help each other out with tools or advice. It’s a practical, no-nonsense environment where we just focus on getting the instruments built and sent out to the customers.
