Jalaram Travels

Our place is at B 13 in Navrang Society, right near the Bhairavnath Cross Road. Being in the travel business means our phones are always ringing with people asking about bus timings or car rentals for their trips. It’s a bit of a hectic spot because of the crossroad nearby, but that’s where the people are and it keeps us in business. We’ve been operating out of this office for quite some time now. It’s not a huge space, just enough for a couple of desks and some old maps on the wall. We spend a lot of time talking to drivers and making sure the vehicles are ready to go for the next passenger. There’s always someone coming in to book a seat or ask about a trip to a nearby town or a temple. We don’t have a fancy automated system; we mostly do things the old-fashioned way with notebooks and phone calls. It’s more personal that way and people seem to like it. Navrang Society is a good location for us because everyone in the area knows it. Sometimes the traffic at Bhairavnath makes it hard to park, but we manage. We’re not looking to be the biggest travel agency in the country. We just want to make sure the local folks get where they’re going without too much trouble. It’s straightforward work and we like the routine.
