Lalji Madhavji & Sons

Our shop, Lalji Madhavji & Sons, is located right on Gandhi Road, right where the Fernades Bridge starts. It’s a crowded part of town, especially in the afternoons when everyone is out shopping or heading home. We’ve been in this spot for a long time, across from the Mahajan Book Depo. People mostly find us because they’re already in the area for the banks or looking for books nearby. The Central Bank is right there too, which makes it easy to explain where we are to people who haven't been here before. It’s a bit of an old-fashioned way of doing things here. We don’t use a lot of fancy software or have a big corporate team in suits. It’s mostly just us keeping things moving and helping out the people who come in through the door. The bridge makes the area a bit noisy, and parking is always a headache around here, but that’s just how it is in this part of the city. We keep the shop open pretty regular hours, though sometimes things get a bit slow if the weather is bad. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but we’ve stayed right here in this same spot. It’s not a big place, but we have enough room for what we need to do. If you’re walking past the bridge, you can’t really miss us. We’re just local people doing our bit and keeping the family name going as best as we can. Anyway, we're usually here if you need something.
