Keytoskill

Keytoskill is based over in Ambawadi, right near Azad Society. It’s a central part of Ahmedabad, so it’s pretty easy to get to by bus or rickshaw. We’ve been operating from this location for a while now. The office is simple and functional. We don't see the point in having a lot of unnecessary decorations or fancy furniture. Instead, we have the tools and equipment people actually need to learn new skills. Whether it’s computer programs or other practical things, we just get on with the training. I’m usually here early in the morning to make sure all the machines are working right. Ambawadi is a busy place, but our little corner is tucked away enough to be a good spot for concentration. We see people from all walks of life. Some are looking for a new job, others just want to get better at what they already do for a living. We don't use fancy words to describe what we do. We just help people build up their abilities step by step. It’s a very hands-on approach. Sometimes we sit around and talk about the challenges people are facing in the current job market. It’s more of a conversation than a lecture. We don't have a big corporate structure or anything like that. It’s just a small team of us. We like the work because we see people getting more confident in themselves. That’s really all there is to it. We keep the doors open and the tea ready.
