J. H Sons is our little place over at 92 Shanker Estate. If you know Revabhai Road in Ctm, you’ve probably passed us a dozen times without thinking much of it. We are just a regular business trying to get through the daily pile of work. Most mornings start with unlocking the heavy shutters and hoping the tea guy is around. The estate gets pretty crowded by ten, with trucks backing in and out. It’s noisy and sometimes the dust from the road gets everywhere, especially during the dry months. We’ve been sitting in this same spot for a good while now. The office isn't much to look at, just some sturdy chairs and a few old fans that click when they're on high. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking through ledger books that seem to never end. My cousin helps out when things get really hectic, but usually, it’s just the core crew here. We don’t have a fancy website or a big sign, just the name on the door and the address folks use to find us. It’s honest work, and it keeps the lights on. Sometimes the neighbors come by just to chat about the local news or the traffic. We don't mind. It makes the day go faster when things are slow. By the time we lock up at night, we’re pretty tired, but that’s just how it goes for a family business like ours in this part of town.
