Out here on the Sanand-Viramgam highway, things move fast. We are located at Survey No. 193/P in the Ghanshyam Industrial Estate. If you pass the Hotel Bhagyodaya, you’ve basically found us. Being in Vasna means we are a bit away from the main city noise, but the highway traffic makes up for it. We put together various home appliances. It’s mostly metal parts, wires, and plastic casings everywhere. The assembly lines are usually loud with the sound of screwdrivers and testing equipment. We don’t have any big corporate slogans or anything. It is just a bunch of people trying to make sure the fans or heaters or whatever we are building that day actually work when someone plugs them in. Lunch breaks are usually spent sitting near the gate or at the small tea stall nearby. The sun hits the metal roof of the shed pretty hard in the afternoon. We have a lot of raw materials coming in on big trailers that have to navigate the tight turns of the estate. Sometimes the monsoon makes the roads around here a bit of a mess, but we still show up. It’s a practical place. We don’t spend money on fancy decorations because we’re too busy checking the inventory and moving boxes onto the loading docks. It’s just how things are done here in Sanand. We keep things moving and focus on the day’s production schedule without any fuss.
