Herbal Research Centre

Our setup is at 302 Virat Appt, which is right across from the Gangotri Appt in the Lad Society area of Vastrapur. Ahmedabad gets pretty warm, so we spend a lot of time with the fans going while we look at different herbs and plants. This is an apartment-style office, so it feels more like a home than a sterile lab. Jars and samples are everywhere, and the smell of dried leaves is usually the first thing you notice when you walk in. A big corporate research center with white coats and high-tech sensors this is not. It’s more about us sitting around the table and figuring things out the old-fashioned way. The Lad Society neighborhood is a nice place to be, and it's quiet enough for us to focus on our work without too many distractions. Having been here for a while now, the neighbors are used to the occasional delivery of sacks. Sometimes the elevator in the building acts up, so we end up taking the stairs, which keeps us moving. We don't have a big staff, just a few people who know their way around the research. It’s a very grounded way of doing things, without any of the fluff you see in advertisements. We just focus on the herbal stuff and try to keep the place organized, though that’s a constant battle with all those samples we have to keep.
