We are based at 15 D in the Shubham Apartment building, which is part of the Nrsitabaug Society in Uttamnagar, Maninagar. This is a residential part of Ahmedabad, so the atmosphere is usually quite calm compared to the busy city center. Our office is on one of the upper floors, and it has a decent view of the other society buildings and some trees. Inside, it is a clean space with some gray desks and black chairs. We have a small reception desk where someone is usually sitting to greet people. The walls are painted a light cream color, and we have a few plants that we try to keep alive, though we sometimes forget to water them. There is a small balcony where we go to take a break and get some fresh air. We handle a lot of different tasks throughout the day, mostly involving computers and a lot of phone calls. The office feels like a part of the community because we see the same people every day. We do not have any expensive furniture, just the basic things we need to get through the day’s work. It is a comfortable enough place to spend eight or nine hours. Most of us take the bus or ride a scooter to get here. It is just a steady, everyday kind of office for us where we drink chai and do our work.
