This branch of Hdb Financial Services Ltd is located in Paldi, over in Ahmedabad. We are set up at number 17 in the Gujarat Society, and Hirak Shah is usually around the place. It’s a bit different being in a society rather than a big commercial tower, but it works well for us. It feels a bit more like a home than an office sometimes, which keeps the mood relaxed. We have our desks set up and we spend the day going through the various documents and records we have to manage for the bank. Since we are part of a larger group, there is always a lot to keep track of, but we handle it right here from this spot. The 380007 area is a good place to be. We see the same people walking by every day and know the local rhythms. We don't have any flashy posters or big logos on the walls. It’s just a practical workspace where we can focus on the numbers. Sometimes we have tea together in the afternoon to take a break from the computer screens. We don't really do the whole corporate thing with long meetings or powerpoints. We just figure out what needs doing and we do it. It’s a lot of data and checking numbers, making sure the records are straight before we leave. We stay busy enough that the time goes by pretty fast most days. It’s just a regular office life for us here in Gujarat Society, doing what we need to do.
