Gujarat State Disaster Management Authorit

We are based in Gandhinagar at House No 341 2, over in Sector 3B. It is a quiet neighborhood for the most part, which is nice when things are calm. Our job is mostly about preparing for when things aren't so calm, like floods or other big issues the state might face. We spend a lot of time looking at maps and checking on supplies. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a regular house converted for our needs. We have some people who have been here for years and know every corner of the state. It gets pretty hectic when there is a storm warning. Everyone starts running around and the phones don't stop ringing. But on a normal Tuesday, it's just us sitting at our desks and doing the planning. We aren't a big corporate outfit. We are just government workers trying to stay ahead of whatever might happen next. Being in Sector 3B puts us close to other government buildings which helps when we need to talk to other departments. We drink a lot of chai here to keep going. We don't really do much advertising because people usually find us when they really need us. It’s a lot of responsibility but we just take it one day at a time. The office stays open late quite often. We just do what needs doing to keep things organized for the state. There is a small gate at the front and a lot of files inside.
