Gajanand Wooden Articles

We've been here at Plot No-05 in Odhav for a while now. Gajanand Wooden Articles is just a small place near Soni Ni Chawl Char Rasta, right by the crossroad. It gets pretty loud and busy around here with all the traffic, but inside the workshop, it's mostly the sound of saws and sanding. People find us near Lallu Gordhan Ni Chali easily enough once they get to the main road. We spend most of our days working with different kinds of wood. It's dusty work, and my clothes usually have sawdust on them by noon. We make all sorts of items, mostly stuff people need for their homes or little decorative things. It isn't a fancy showroom or anything like that. Just a practical space where we get things done. Sometimes the wood takes longer to finish than we expect because of the humidity or just how the grain is. We just try to make things that hold up well over time. If you walk past the area and head toward the chawl, you'll see our sign. It's a local operation, nothing too big. Just a few of us here making sure the joints are tight and the finish looks okay. We don't have a big office staff, so usually, if you call, you're talking to the same person who's actually cutting the wood. It’s honest work and we like being part of this neighborhood in Odhav. We have some scraps piled up in the corner and tools everywhere, but it works for us.
