Freelance

The office is situated at 1 Nitinnagar 3, in the Jantanagar area near the railway crossing in Ghatlodia. Being near the tracks means we hear every train that goes by, which is something you just get used to after a week or two of working here. Ahmedabad is a hot place, and our little office in Gujarat is no exception. We keep the place simple. There are no leather chairs or shiny reception desks. It’s just a room with enough space for us to work on our freelance tasks. We’ve lived in this neighborhood for years, so we know most of the people who walk past our door. The office is more about function than style. We have what we need to get through the day, like a decent internet connection and a working printer, most of the time anyway. We aren’t a huge company with levels of management. If someone needs something, they just ask the person sitting next to them. We spend a lot of time just focusing on the details of whatever project we have going on at the moment. It can be a bit repetitive, but it’s a living. We don't have any big goals of expanding across the country; we are quite happy just being a local fixture in Ghatlodia. It’s a bit dusty and the noise from the crossing can be a lot sometimes, but it’s our spot and it works for what we need. We just keep our heads down and get the day's work done before heading home.
