Our office for Ernst Young India Pvt Ltd is right here in Ahmedabad at H No A 103, inside the Nebula Apartment. Being near the Grand Bhagvati Hotel makes it pretty easy to give people directions when they’re coming to see us for the first time. Satellite and Bodakdev are busy areas, but since we are located in an apartment building, it stays a little quieter than being right on the main road. We’ve got a couple of rooms set up for our desks and all the filing cabinets we need for our records. It feels more like a home that turned into a workspace, which is actually quite nice for the team. We usually have the tea guy come around twice a day, and that’s when we take our small breaks. The air conditioning is a lifesaver during the summer months here, otherwise, we wouldn’t get much done. We handle a lot of the local business stuff and keep track of everything on our systems. It isn’t a corporate skyscraper with glass walls, just a solid place where we come to work every morning. Sometimes the parking downstairs gets a bit tight, so we tell people to arrive a bit early if they’re driving. We’ve got our routine down, from opening the shutters in the morning to locking up at night. It’s a straightforward operation. We don’t go in for anything too fancy because the work is what matters most to us. Most of us live nearby, too.
