Dilip Ganesh Kirana Store

Our store is tucked away in Someshwar Nagar near Pratapkunj in Ahmedabad. It’s a basic kirana shop where we’ve been sitting for years. Life here is pretty much the same every day. We open up, sweep the front, and wait for the first customers to come for their morning supplies. Most people around here are regulars who have lived in this part of Ahmedabad for decades. They come in for a bit of sugar or some oil and we talk about the weather or local news. The shop is small and sometimes feels a bit cramped with all the bags and jars everywhere. We don’t really change much. We just keep the staples that everyone needs. It is nothing fancy, just a room full of groceries. The area near Pratapkunj is quiet most of the time compared to the city center. We like that. Sometimes the supply trucks are late and we have to wait around. That's just part of the job. We don’t have a big team, it is mostly family handling the counter. If you are walking through Someshwar Nagar, you will find us easily. We know which brand of tea most people like. It’s a simple life running a kirana store. We focus on getting the stock right and making sure the grains are clean. It’s what we do. Not much else to say really. Just a local shop doing its thing day after day. We don't have a lot of storage, so we have to get fresh supplies quite often from the main wholesalers.
