Our office is over at Kailash Baug, right across from the Community Hall and near the bus stand in Gondal. It is officially under the care of G S Jasani. If you are in the 360 311 area of Gujarat, you have probably walked past us a few times without thinking much of it. We are part of the post department, which means we see a lot of mail and parcels moving through here every single day. The building is a bit older, and the paint is peeling in some spots, but it is sturdy enough for what we need. It gets really busy when the mail bags arrive, and we have to sort through everything as fast as we can. It is a noisy place with the sound of stamps and paper moving around, but we have a system that works. We do not use any fancy technology to sort things; it is mostly just us doing it by hand. Sometimes the humidity in Gujarat makes the envelopes stick together, but we manage to get them separated. People from all over Gondal come here to send things or check on their letters. We do not have any marketing or big signs, just the usual post office signs that everyone knows. It is a simple, honest job and we have been doing it at this spot for a long time. We just try to make sure your mail gets where it is supposed to go.
