Our office is located on the first floor of Jitendra Chambers, which is right behind the Ajanta Commercial Complex. Being near the Income Tax Crossing in Ahmedabad means there is always something going on outside. The noise from the traffic is pretty much constant, but you get used to it after a week or two. We have rooms 11 and 12, so we have a bit of space to spread out our electronics work. It’s not a polished corporate suite. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the furniture is just basic stuff that gets the job done. Most of our day is spent at the benches or on the computers. We’ve got a small area for tea and coffee, which is where most of the actual talking happens during breaks. The building is older, so it has that specific smell of concrete and old paper. We don’t really worry about having a perfect look for visitors because we’re usually too busy with the technical side of things. People from the other offices in the complex stop by sometimes just to say hello. We like being in this part of Ahmedabad because everything is close by, even if the parking is a nightmare. It’s just a regular group of us here, doing our jobs and trying to keep everything running smoothly without making a big deal out of it. We take it one day at a time and focus on the tasks we have set.
