Daas Boutique

If you find yourself near the Chandraprabhu Complex in Naranpura, you’ll see where we are. Daas Boutique is located in G-1/A, right near the Sardarpatel Bawla. It’s a cozy little spot. We don’t have those huge mannequins or bright flashing signs. It’s more about the fabrics we keep on the shelves. People come in to look at colors and feel the material. We spend a lot of time talking to folks about what they want. Sometimes we disagree on what looks good, but it’s all part of the process. The shop can get crowded on Saturday afternoons when everyone is out running errands. We have a small mirror in the corner where people check their reflections. It’s a bit old, but it works fine. We try to keep things tidy, but with so many rolls of cloth, things get messy pretty fast. My sister helps me out with the books and the customers. We’ve been in Naranpura for a while and we like the vibe of the neighborhood. It’s friendly and familiar. We aren’t trying to be some high-fashion brand from a magazine. We just like making clothes that people feel okay wearing. It’s a lot of work, especially when a big order comes in, but we enjoy the rhythm of it. We just lock up at night and head home, ready to do it again tomorrow. It is a good way to spend the day.
