Charbhuja General Store

Charbhuja General Store is situated inside the Manidhar Shopping Center which is in Mahadev Nagar. This is on the New Rto Road in Ahmedabad. It’s a busy part of town and the shopping center has a lot of different businesses. Our store is just a regular general store where we keep things like soap, toothpaste, hair oil, and some kitchen supplies. We have a lot of plastic items hanging from the ceiling to save space because the shop isn't very wide. Ahmedabad can get quite dusty, so we are always wiping down the counters and the bottles. The New Rto Road has a lot of traffic going towards the government offices, so we get people stopping by on their way home. We don't have any fancy displays or bright neon lights. It is just wooden shelves and some neon tube lights inside. Sometimes the stock stays in boxes on the floor for a day or two until we have time to put it all away. We don't use computers for our accounts, we still use the old registers. It works for us and we haven't seen a reason to change. We know which neighbors like which brands of tea or detergent. It is a small community feeling even though we are in a big city. We just keep the door open and wait for whoever needs something for their house that day.
