We operate as the British High Commission UKTI out of Ahmedabad. Our office is located at B 45 Nandanvan I in the Satellite area. It’s a well-known part of town, so people usually don’t have much trouble finding us. We focus a lot on the trade and business side of things here, helping local companies and people who want to do business with the UK. It’s a bit different from a standard visa office, but we still have plenty of paperwork to deal with. The atmosphere in the office is usually quite focused. We spend our time looking at market reports, talking to business owners, and keeping track of trade links. It’s practical work that requires a lot of attention to detail. The Satellite area is a good spot for us because there’s always something happening nearby. Our office isn't anything too fancy, just a functional space where we can meet people and get our work done. We’ve got a small staff who knows the Ahmedabad business scene pretty well. We aren't trying to be anything we’re not; we just provide the support that’s needed for trade relations. If you walk into B 45, you’ll find us busy with emails or on the phone, trying to make sure everything is running smoothly for the people we assist. We keep things simple and just focus on the trade tasks that come across our desks each morning.
