Bhavnagar District Cooperative Bank

This branch of the Bhavnagar District Cooperative Bank is located at 68 Sakan Twins in Vastrapur, Ahmedabad. We are not one of those massive banks with glass walls and hundreds of tellers. We are a smaller cooperative setup, which means we know a lot of our customers by name when they walk through the door. The office is in the Sakan Twins building, and it has a very functional feel to it. We have a few counters for deposits and withdrawals and a couple of desks where we handle loan applications and paperwork for local farmers or small business owners. Vastrapur is a nice area, and being at 380 015 means we are accessible to a lot of people in this part of Ahmedabad. There is usually a bit of a queue in the mornings, especially on Mondays, but we try to move through the paperwork as steadily as we can. Our furniture is a bit older and the printers sometimes make a loud noise, but the system works. We spend our days checking ledgers, talking to folks about their savings, and making sure the accounts are balanced at the end of every day. It’s a very straightforward environment where we focus on the basic banking needs of the people around us without any unnecessary complications or fancy displays.
