We are over at B 13 Manila Flat, which is near the Naranpura Crossing in Ahmedabad 13. This Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance Co Ltd office is actually inside a flat, which gives it a very casual and local atmosphere. It’s not like those big offices you see on the main roads. Being near Naranpura Crossing means there is always something going on nearby. You can hear the scooters and the general buzz of the city from our windows. We have set up our desks in the main rooms of the flat. It’s a bit of a tight fit with all the filing cabinets we need for the insurance records, but we make it work just fine. Most days are spent typing away and making sure the entries are correct. It’s a very grounded way to work. We don't have a reception desk or a waiting lounge with fancy magazines. People just walk in, find a chair, and we talk through whatever they need. The afternoon sun hits the front of the building quite hard, so we keep the curtains drawn most of the time. It’s a simple, functional place where the focus is just on getting through the paperwork. We like it this way because it’s easy-going. It feels more like a part of the neighborhood than a stiff business office. We just get on with things and try to stay organized.
