Arihant Traders

Our shop, Arihant Traders, is at 332 Shriram Cloth Market, which is right across from the railway station. If you have ever been to Revdi Bazar, you know how loud and crowded it can get around here. We have been in this spot off Relief Road for a long time. The shop itself is quite small and the shelves are usually overflowing with different types of fabric. Sometimes when a new shipment comes in, there is hardly any space to stand, but we manage to sort it out eventually. We don't have a website or any of those modern things. We just use big ledgers to keep track of everything by hand. Every morning starts with unpacking bundles and talking to the people who walk in off the street. We get our tea from a small stall just around the corner, and that is usually the highlight of the afternoon. The lighting inside isn't great, but we know exactly where every roll of cloth is stored. When the monsoon season starts, the street outside gets pretty muddy, but we just put some planks down and keep working. It is a busy life, especially during the festival seasons when everyone is looking for something specific. We aren't trying to be the biggest business around, we just want to get through the day’s work and make sure the regulars are happy. It is just how we do things here.
