Arihant Engineering Consultant Services is based in the cellar of Kamdhenu Complex in Ambawadi. Being in the cellar means it stays a bit cooler during the hot Ahmedabad summers, which we really appreciate. We are right near the Panjara Pole Cross Road, so it’s a very familiar area for anyone living around here. Our office is number 26, and it’s usually filled with the sound of fans and people talking about structural drawings. Engineering consultancy is a lot of paperwork and checking numbers over and over again. We have stacks of files and blueprints everywhere you look. It’s not a very modern looking place, but it’s where we get the real work done. We’ve been part of the Ambawadi community for quite a while now. Most days involve visiting sites to check on progress and then coming back to the complex to write up reports. It’s practical, sometimes boring work, but it is important for making sure buildings are safe. We don't have any big slogans. We just show up, look at the plans, and tell people what needs to be done. Sometimes we grab a snack at the stalls nearby during our break. It’s a steady life and we like being right in the middle of this busy part of Ahmedabad. It's nothing too fancy, just some desks and a lot of hard work every day. We hope to stay here for many more years.
