Sundar Gopal Complex is where we stay most of the day. Our shop is right across from that big Central Mall. Ambavadi Circle is always a mess with traffic, especially in the evenings when everyone is headed home after work. We spend a lot of time looking out the front window at the cars and buses going by. Inside, it is mostly just shelves filled with parts and tangled wires. Electronics can be tricky to deal with, so there is usually something half-taken apart sitting on the counter. We have been in this spot for a good while now. Some folks come in just to ask for directions because we are so close to the mall, which is fine I guess. The lights in here flicker sometimes, and we keep saying we will fix them but then a customer walks in with a broken TV or a phone and we just forget about it. It is not a fancy place by any means. We have a small wooden stool for people to sit on if they have to wait for a bit. Usually, the radio is playing some old songs in the background. My hands are usually a bit dirty from solder or the dust that hides inside old cabinets. It gets really hot in the afternoons when the sun hits the front glass. We just keep the fan going and try to get through the pile of repairs. It is just a living. Sometimes the delivery guys bring the wrong parts and we have to wait another two days. That is just how it goes here.
