Amazone Time

We are located right near Navgujarat College on Ashram Road, at 8/2 Lotus Society. It’s a busy area because of all the students walking by and the traffic heading towards the riverfront. Amazone Time is a place where we deal with clocks and watches, so the sound of ticking is something you just get used to. It’s actually quite peaceful once you stop noticing it. We have a lot of glass cases that we have to wipe down every morning because the dust from Ashram Road is relentless. Sometimes a student will pop in to get a battery changed or just to look at the wall clocks while they wait for their bus. The shop isn't very large, so if three or four people come in at once, it feels crowded. We have a small workbench in the back where the fine work happens under a bright lamp. My eyes usually get a bit tired by the end of the day from looking at such small parts. We drink our tea standing up most of the time because there isn't much room to sit. The society gate is right there, so we see the residents coming and going all day. It’s a good spot to be, even if it gets a bit loud with the horns honking outside. We just keep an eye on the time, literally, and wait for the evening rush to die down before we close up for the night.
