Alankar Motor Driving School

We are Alankar Motor Driving School, located in Raikhad, Ahmedabad, right near the Gayakvad Haveli. It is a historic part of town with narrow streets and a lot of activity, which actually makes it a pretty good place to learn how to drive. If you can handle the traffic around here, you can drive anywhere. We have a few older cars that we use for the lessons. They aren't the newest models on the road, and the clutches are a bit stiff, but they are reliable. We spend most of our day sitting in the passenger seat, watching the road and helping nervous beginners. It takes a lot of patience to do this work, especially when the weather is hot and the traffic is at a standstill. We don't have a big office; it is mostly just a place to keep the keys and some paperwork. People come in, sign up, and then we head out to the cars. There are no fancy simulators or high-tech gadgets here. It is just a steering wheel, some pedals, and someone showing you the basics. We see all kinds of people, from teenagers to older folks who finally decided it was time to learn. We just take it one lesson at a time and try to keep everyone calm while they are behind the wheel. It's just a normal job on the streets of Ahmedabad.
