Om Sai Motor Training School

Our little office is at Plot No 822/2 in the Gandhinagar Ho area, 382010. It is not a very large place, just enough room for a desk, a couple of chairs, and some files tucked away in the corner. Om Sai Motor Training School has been operating here in Gandhinagar for a bit now. We spend most of our time out on the roads rather than sitting inside the office anyway. The cars are parked right outside or nearby on the street. Teaching someone to drive for the first time is always an experience. You have to have a lot of patience when they keep stalling the engine at the traffic lights. Gandhinagar has some wide roads, which helps when people are just starting out. We mostly talk about clutch control and how to use the mirrors properly. The paperwork for the licenses takes up some of our time too, sitting there filling out forms and checking ID photos. It can get pretty repetitive, but people need their licenses to get around. We don't have a fancy waiting room or coffee machine. People just show up at their scheduled time, we grab the keys, and we head out. It is a practical business. We see all sorts of people, from nervous teenagers to older folks who finally decided they wanted to learn. The Gujarat sun makes the steering wheels hot in the afternoon, so we try to keep the windows down. We have been doing this long enough that we know every turn in the city.
