Our workshop is at B/22 in the Meldy Estate, right near the Gota railway crossing. If you’ve ever waited for a train to pass there, you’ve probably been just a stone’s throw from our front door. The estate is a bit dusty and has that industrial feel you get in Gota, but it’s where we do most of our work. We handle control systems, so there are always control panels and electrical components scattered around the place. You can hear the trains going by every now and then, which is something we’ve just gotten used to over the years. Our space is divided between a small office area and the main floor where the actual assembly happens. It’s not a shiny showroom; it’s a working shop with tools and testing rigs everywhere. The guys usually have a radio playing in the background while they wire up the panels. We aren't much for big speeches or marketing plans. We just get the specs, look at the diagrams, and start building. Most of our customers are other businesses in the area, so we know a lot of the people around the estate. When the crossing is closed, the traffic can get backed up, but it gives us a bit of a breather. It’s honest, manual work that requires a lot of attention to detail. We just show up every morning, open the shutters, and get to work on the next control system. It might not be the quietest spot in Ahmedabad, but it suits the kind of hands-on work we do.
