We are up on the fifth floor of the Wall Street-1 building. If you know where the Orient Club is in the Ellisbridge area, you've basically found where we work. It’s a very busy part of Ahmedabad, so the traffic can be a real headache in the evenings when everyone is trying to head home. We’ve been here at Naapbooks for some time now. The office is number 505. It’s a standard office building with elevators that sometimes take a bit too long when everyone is arriving at nine in the morning. From the window, you can see quite a bit of the city skyline, which is nice. We do a lot of bookkeeping and number crunching here. It gets pretty quiet in the room when everyone is focused on their screens. We don't have those fancy bean bags or game rooms you see in movies or at big tech firms. It’s just rows of desks and some old filing cabinets that we should probably get rid of soon. The chai guy comes by twice a day, and that's usually the highlight of the afternoon for most of us. Ellisbridge is a good area, very central, so it’s easy for the staff to get here from different parts of the city. Sometimes the parking downstairs is a bit of a squeeze if you arrive late. We just try to get through the pile of work every day. It’s a professional enough space, but it definitely feels lived-in. We have some plants that someone forgets to water.
