Woxsen School Of Arts & Design

Out in Gram Harjupura, near Kurra Chittarpur in Agra, we’ve got Woxsen School Of Arts & Design. It is a bit of a different vibe compared to the schools in the middle of the city. Being out here gives us a bit more room to breathe, though the roads can be a bit rough to travel on. We spend our days surrounded by sketches, fabric scraps, and half-finished models. It’s not a sterile environment at all. There is paint on the tables and usually some sawdust on the floor from a project. We are a group of people who just like making things. The building itself is practical, nothing too flashy. We have studios where students sit for hours working on their designs. It gets pretty hot during the Agra summers, so we use a lot of fans. Sometimes we run out of certain materials and have to wait for a delivery to come all the way out here. We don't pretend to be some high-end corporate office. We are just a school for people who want to learn a craft. The staff is usually busy helping out with a difficult cut or a color choice. Most of us live nearby or commute from the outskirts. It is a quiet place except for the sound of sewing machines or people talking about their ideas. It’s just our little corner of the world where we focus on the creative work every single day.
