Franz Music Academy

You can find us over at 59/113 C, right by the Ajit Nagar Gate in Agra. It's a pretty easy place to spot if you're coming from the main road. Franz Music Academy is basically just a couple of rooms where we keep the instruments and teach whoever wants to learn. Most afternoons are quite loud because that is when the kids show up after school finishes. We have some old guitars and a keyboard that’s seen better days, but they still play fine. The walls aren't really soundproof, so the neighbors probably know all the songs we practice by heart now. We aren't trying to be some big fancy conservatory. It is just a local spot for people in Ajit Nagar to come and pick up a hobby. Sometimes we sit out front near the gate when it’s not too hot and just chat with the parents waiting. The floor is a bit creaky in the back room where we keep the drums. We spend a lot of time tuning strings and cleaning fingerprints off the piano keys. It gets dusty pretty fast here so there is always someone with a cloth wiping things down. We don’t have a receptionist or anything, so if we are in the middle of a lesson, you might have to wait a minute for someone to come to the door. It’s a small place but we’ve got enough space for what we need to do each day. We often stay late on Fridays to get everything ready for the weekend classes.
