Tej Shoe Tech

We are located out at Artoni, right by the 10th and 11th mile stones on the Agra-Mathura Road. It is a bit of a journey from the center of the city, but being right on the main highway makes it much easier for the large trucks to reach us without getting stuck in small streets. At Tej Shoe Tech, our workday starts quite early in the morning before the road gets too clogged with commuters. The building we work in is large and very open because we need all that space for the shoe production equipment and the storage of materials. It gets quite noisy when all the machines are running at once, especially the heavy presses and the stitching units. We don't have a carpeted office or any air conditioning in the main work areas, just some large industrial fans that hum all day. There is always a bit of dust in the air from the materials we use, so we keep the big doors open as much as possible. Most of the staff comes from the villages nearby and we all know each other well. We usually eat our lunch together in the shade of the building when the sun is high. It is a very practical and straightforward operation. We don't spend any money on decorations or fancy signs. Everything here is about the shoes and getting them loaded onto the trucks. You can see the highway from our front gate, with cars zooming by all day.
