Belan Ganj is always crowded, and Gali Barah Bhai is no exception. That’s where Swan Polyplast is located, specifically at No. 6/17. If you’ve ever walked down our street, you know it’s a lot of narrow lanes and people moving goods back and forth. Our place is full of plastic goods and the raw materials needed to make them. It’s not a quiet place. The machines make a steady thumping sound and there’s usually a truck or a cart trying to navigate the alley outside to pick up a delivery. We’ve been here for a while and the walls show it. They’re a bit stained and there are scratches everywhere from moving heavy crates around. We don’t have a lot of space for a fancy office, so the desk is usually covered in invoices and a half-eaten lunch. We spend the day monitoring the production and making sure the quality is okay. Plastic can be finicky if the temperature isn't right. It’s hot work, especially in the summer months. We don't have much of a "staff," just a group of guys who have been working together long enough to know what needs to be done without being told. We just keep the machines running and try to stay on top of the schedule. It's nothing glamorous, just a lot of hard work in a very busy part of town. We are just here doing our thing daily.
