Shiva Overseas

We are Shiva Overseas, and you can find us at No. 6 and No. 7 on MG Road. Having two spots right next to each other is pretty helpful because it gives us enough room to breathe. One side is where we do all the typing and phone calls, and the other side is mostly just storage for whatever we are exporting that month. MG Road is always packed with people and cars, so it’s never quiet here. We’ve been at this location for a good while, so we’ve seen the street change a lot over the years. The buildings are a bit older, but they’ve got character. It’s just a small group of us working here. We don't have any big slogans or fancy mission statements. We just try to get the orders right so people don't complain. The traffic can be a real pain when we are trying to load up the vans, so we usually try to do that very early in the morning before the rush starts. There is a great little snack shop a few doors down where we get our samosas in the afternoon. It’s a busy, noisy, and sometimes stressful place to work, but it’s our business and we’re proud of it. We don't do much marketing; we just rely on the fact that we’ve been here on MG Road for ages and people know us.
