Sharma Footwear

We have our shop at No. 14-a in Tulsi Bagh. It’s a different spot from our other relatives’ places, but we do the same kind of work every day. We sell footwear for daily use. Mostly we have chappals, sandals, and some rubber boots for the rainy season when the streets get muddy. Tulsi Bagh is a bit quieter than the main market areas but we still get enough people walking by to keep us busy. The shop isn't very big at all. We have shelves lining every wall from the floor up. Sometimes we have to use a ladder to reach the boxes at the very top. We try to keep things organized but it gets messy when there are a lot of customers at once. People like to haggle a bit over the price, and we usually work something out that’s fair. It’s a local business. We don't have a big sign with bright lights. Just a simple hand-painted board. My wife helps me out in the evenings when it gets a bit busier with folks coming home from work. We’ve lived in this area for a long time, so we know what people are looking for. We don't bother with the latest fashion trends from the big cities. We just keep what is useful and affordable for the neighbors. Sometimes the inventory arrives late because of the city traffic, but we manage. It’s just a regular shoe shop. Nothing special to look at, but we have what you need for your feet.
