You can find us at Namak Mandi in Kinari Bazar. This part of the city is always buzzing with people looking for silver and wedding stuff. We specialize in payals at Bandejiya Payals, and we’ve been at this for quite some time. The shop is small, like most of the places in Kinari Bazar. We have glass cases filled with different designs, from simple ones to the heavy ones for weddings. It gets very crowded on the weekends when families come in groups. Sometimes there is hardly room to move inside. We spend our days showing different patterns and weighing the silver. The air in the market smells like incense and street food. We know most of the other shopkeepers around here. We trade stories while waiting for the next customer to walk in. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s what we know. The floor is a bit uneven and the walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but it doesn't bother us much. We just focus on the silver and making sure the clasps are strong and the work is good. It is a long day from morning until the market shuts down at night. We just enjoy the work and the regular people we meet here every day.
