Being located at 13 Industrial Area in Nunhai means our days are filled with the sounds of the factories around us. Acpl Jewels Pvt. Ltd. isn't a place for window shopping. It’s a production unit where things are actually made by hand and machine. The air smells a bit like metal and industrial oil. We have a lot of people working here, and everyone has a specific job to do. Some are at the benches and others are managing the bigger machines. The building is a typical industrial structure, gray and functional. We don't have any decorations on the walls, just some safety posters and work schedules. It gets very busy in the mornings when the workers arrive on their cycles. We have a small area where we keep the finished pieces before they are boxed up and sent off to the shops. Nunhai is quite a distance from the main city center, so we all commute here every day. The roads can be rough, especially when it rains and the mud gets everywhere. We have a small canteen area where we eat lunch. It’s not anything special, just some dal and roti brought from home. We focus on getting the work done on time. If there is a delay, it affects the whole chain. So we stay busy. We don’t spend much time talking about our goals; we just focus on the jewelry that needs to be finished before the sun goes down.
