M.S. Engineers

Our place, M.S. Engineers, is located at 11/119-A in Sita Nagar, which is part of the Rambagh area. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze in this lane, especially when we have metal rods or heavy parts being delivered. The workshop is small, and we have to be very careful about where we put things so we don't run out of walking space. We mostly work on small engineering jobs and repair work that people bring in from the local area. It’s usually just a couple of us here, and the lathe machine takes up most of the room in the front. There is always a layer of iron filings on the ground, no matter how much we sweep it up at the end of the day. In the summer, it gets incredibly hot inside, so we keep the big fan running all the time, which just adds to the noise of the machines. We don't have a proper waiting area, so if a customer comes by, they usually just stand near the door or pull up a plastic stool if one is free. It’s a simple life, opening up the shutters in the morning and seeing what kind of work comes through the door. Sometimes we are busy until late at night, and other times we are just cleaning the tools and waiting for the next order. It’s just a local engineering shop doing our best with what we have.
